Mary and Juan is that couple you love immediately! I mean our first consultation was spent eating gelato from Dolcezza Gelato & Coffee. Their pick! We didn’t know then, but we were getting a hint into the first personal detail of the wedding.
The myriad of details kept coming as we worked to plan a day of blending two families from different countries, who also spoke different languages. From the Spanish Steps, a cultural DC landmark, to the reception at the historical Woodrow Wilson House coupled with Mexican tiles used as favors, the guests were able to get a taste of both cultures.
After a traditional ceremony, the evening began with an elegant dinner underneath a canopy tent in the garden of the Wilson House.
Following dinner, guests transitioned to another tented area right off the porch area. This time they were covered underneath a clear top tent and string lights as the night began to fall. This lended to the beginning of a night full of dancing, cake, cocktails and you guessed it, gelato!
Our favorite moment from the evening was the surprise mariachi band! The music was the perfect tie-in right before their grand sparkler exit.
We thank Mary and Juan for including us in their special day. Bullos Photography captured the sweet summer day with perfection!
