Like many parties in the past year, a celebration with the Powells was delayed due to the lockdown. What started as a planned baby shower event, turned into an animal-filled first birthday party, and it was a fun one!
The Party
We took on one of the most popular trends out now and traveled down to Atlanta to put our spin on it for Baby Najee. This design was centered around the ball pit, serving as our focal point and of course entertainment for the little ones. The space was then immersed with colorful green and brown shades and lots of greenery accents, while the kid’s table was set with a mix of style and activity! It included plush-pillow seating, framed words of affirmation and a custom-designed coloring book. To accompany their outfits, party favors included safari hats and animal face masks.
Najee is a whole mood!
A surprise element for guests was the bookcase of books previously gifted by them. It was a special moment to see them spot out the ones they got him.
The dessert display was another highlight of the party and no expense was spared for the variety of sugary sweets. From the decorated cookies and two-tiered lemon cake, to the southern-baked brownies, everyone was in for a treat!
We didn’t stop there! You see, the Powells are activists and believe in the growth and empowerment of businesses within their community. We honored this by adding MOKIPOPS, a kid-owned business serving up all-natural handcrafted popsicles, to our dessert lineup. The owners were able to explain and serve their products while enjoying the fun! Do you see those faces?!?
Happy Birthday Prince Najee!
